Teens Try Pulling the Ol' Switcheroo After Traffic Stop

Driver Switches Seats

Police stopped a car for failing to signal, and then saw the driver jump into the rear of the car while a passenger in the rear jumped into the driver's seat. When an officer asked why they switched seats, the man no in the driver's seat said he was there the entire time. 

George McClendon, 19, of Chicago, was originally in the driver's seat, and Marques W. Hodrick, 18, of Berwyn, was the passenger. Both were charged with suspended licenses and obstructing an officer.

Credit Fraud

A woman said her wallet was stolen while she had dinner at Blackies in Chicago on Friday and reported several fraudulent charges to her cards, including charges of $617, $757 and $25.84. It was also used at various places including Target, McDonald's and a Citgo gas station.  

Walmart Theft

Michael Adams, 23, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft after police were called to Walmart, 1300 Des Plaines Ave. Store security said Adams stole three ink cartridges valued at $58.55. He was given an April 23 court date.
