How did the business come to be?

Alway interested in owning a flower shop.  Was no longer happy working a corporate job. I took a vacation and enrolled in floral design school.  Then worked several years nights and weekends honing my skills.  Finally took the leap of faith and Tulipia was born. A fresh modern approach to flowers is our motto and continues today.

Why did you choose the area you did? 

We chose River Forest as it did not have a florist in town at the time.  We live in Oak Park and wanted a location which was close to home.  We can walk to work or home.   

What does your business offer?

Tulipia Floral Design offers their customers the freshest flowers available in the area.  We hand select the majority of our flowers from our local wholesale houses.  We also order directly from the flower capital of the world, Holland.  

All of our arrangements are custom made to order. Besides flowers we offer a wide variety of home decor items, including vases, Sid Dickens wall tiles from Vancouver, hand made one of a kind jewelry made in River Forest, silk wreaths, a wide variety of candles including Mosiac, Jonathan Adler and Rewined. Our selection of Holiday decor is the largest and best in the area. 

What's something interesting about your business your customers might not know?

We also install and plant outdoor planters.  We will come to your home and plant your pot for one season or all four seasons. 

What's your most popular product or service?

Our signature square cube arrangement with a leaf wrap inside the vase and pave' styled flowers.  Our services shine for our brides and their wedding day. We take care of all the floral needs for the wedding party, ceremony and reception. Every wedding is customized so no two are ever alike.
