Village Saves More than $800,000 With Electric Aggregation

According to a report from the Village of Forest Park, household savings are about $152 after eight months of electric aggregation.

The Village of Forest Park has saved more than $800,000 in the last eight months through its electric aggregation program, or about $152 per household, according to a June 18 report from the Village of Forest Park.

Forest Park voters voted in March 2012 to allow the village to buy electricity in bulk on the behalf of residents to reduce their bills, according to a Forest Park Review report.

Since October, the village has spent between about $100,000 and less than $200,000 per month on electricity, in some months saving almost $150,000, according to the report.
