Village's Comprehensive Planning Process Detailed on New Website

The Village of Forest Park has launched a website to keep residents updated in its comprehensive planning process.

According to the site, the comprehensive plan will, "Outline the community's vision, and recommendations and policies that will help achieve that vision. It will provide a detailed framework for the preservation and enhancement of community assets, as well as guidance for future development and investment decisions."

Forest Park is one of five villages in the West Cook County Housing Collaborative. The Collaborative, formed in 2009, received a Sustainable Communities Challenge Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to fund the development of a comprehensive plan supporting the community's goals, according to the site.
