Woman Says She Left Scene of DUI Accident to Look For Parking: Forest Park Police Blotter

Auto Theft
A 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan was reported stolen from the 100 block of Elgin Avenue.
Possession of Cannabis
Robert A. Foster, 30, of Evanston was charged with possession of a controlled substance and driving on a suspended license after his car was blocking traffic and stopped in the area of Marengo Avenue and Jackson Boulevard, police said. A sock with a total of 22 small clear plastic knotted bags containing cannabis was found on the floor between the driver's and passenger's front seats. A small .380 caliber replica BB gun and a black spring loaded folded knife also were found in the 1993 Chevrolet Foster was driving, police said. Foster also was charged with improper parking on the roadway.

SATURDAY, DEC. 1
DUI
David A. Stanger, 46, of Oak Park was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after he was pulled over at Wisconsin Avenue and Madison Street in Oak Park in connection with driving without his headlights turned on, police said.

Possession of Cannabis
Marcus J. Neely, 20, of Maywood was charged with possession of a controlled substance after a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Marengo Avenue, police said. Approximately 10.26 grams of cannabis were found in his possession at the time of his arrest, police said.
FRIDAY, NOV. 30
DUI, Leaving the Scene of an Accident
Morgan A. Carstens, 25, of Toulon, IL, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and hit-and-run, police said. Police said Carstens' 2010 Jeep SUV rear-ended a Ford Focus in the 200 block of Elgin Avenue. She pulled over to look at the damage, and then got back in the car and drove off, according to police. Her car was pulled over at Pleasant Street and Harlem Avenue in Oak Park. Carstens told police she knew she hit a car but was trying to find a parking space.
