Zagat: Gaetano's a Top Italian Restaurant in Chicago Area

Zagat has named Gaetano's, 7636 Madison St., Forest Park, one of the top Italian restaurants in the Chicago area.

"Prepare for an experience," at the Forest Park eatery, where the chef delivers "'completely unexpected,' praiseworthy dishes à la carte or in 'unbelievable' tasting menus," the rating says.

Gaetano's was one of six of Zagat's top Italian restaurants, among the likes of Davanti Enoteca in Little Italy, Davanti Enoteca in Western Springs, Pelago Ristorante in Streeterville, RoSal's in Little Italy and Riccardo Trattoria in Lincoln Park.

Gaetano's is open Monday-Thursday, 5-9:30 p.m. and 4:30-10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
