Why are you seeking office?

While serving as Frankfort Township trustee, I have become particularly aware of the people's needs.
If residents want a crosswalk in a certain location or are concerned about the devastation caused by the Emerald Ash Borer, they can come to me, and I will do everything possible to help. I want to improve the day-to-day quality of life in Frankfort Township.

What sets you apart from the other candidates?

During the past 10 years, I have served as chairman of the township's senior citizen committee. In that role, I have called Bingo games, accompanied the group when they take trips and have supported the Meals on Wheels program.
I also created and financed the township's Yellow Ribbon Campaign, a way for residents to signify they want the troops to return home.
In 2007, I established a local chapter of Cell Phones for Soliders, a program designed to give the military the means to telephone home.
I am here to serve.

In your opinion, what are the primary challenges facing the township?

Additional affordable senior housing is needed in Frankfort Township.

How will you address those challenges?

I will seek the necessary funds to provide more senior housing.

If elected, what will be your philosophy as a member of the township board?

I will always put township residents first while continuing to be fiscally responsible.

Please add any other information pertinent to your campaign.

I am a 17-year member of St. Anthony's parish in Frankfort, a volunteer for the Adopt-A-Highway Program and a volunteer for the Frankfort Township Food Pantry.
I also have been a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose for the past 10 years, and am a former school board member and youth baseball coach.
I also am proud to have served in the U.S. Navy for 12 years.
