33 Active Coronavirus Cases Reported In Lincoln-Way D210

Last week, the district had 30 active cases of the coronavirus. Now, according to the district website, there are 33 active cases.

NEW LENOX, IL — The amount of active cases at Lincoln-Way D210 has increased slightly over the past week. Earlier this week, the Will County Health Department also shared that school-aged virus cases continue to rise, and the high school setting and the middle school setting saw the highest amount of cases since Aug. 10.

For the week of Oct. 19, there were also 88 new cases for the high school setting (ages 14-18) and 42 new cases in middle schools (ages 10-13), according to county health department data.

Lincoln-Way District 210 has created a page on the district website to share case counts at each of its three high schools: Lincoln-Way Central, Lincoln-Way East, and Lincoln-Way West.

Last week, the district had 30 active cases of the coronavirus. Now, according to the district website, there are 33 active cases. At Lincoln-Way Central, there are four active cases (down from eight cases the week before); Lincoln-Way East has 16 active cases (the same as the week before); and Lincoln-Way West has 13 active cases (up from six cases the week before).

The district has a total of 7,275 staff and students.

Will County is currently under additional mitigations, as is most of the state of Illinois. The mitigations, which include a shutdown of indoor dining and bar service, do not impact schools.
