42nd Annual Candlelight House Walk Planned For December

FRANKFORT, IL — The popular candlelight house walk, hosted by the Frankfort Area Historical Society, will return Dec. 1
The event is the society's largest fundraiser of the year, and features five "magnificently decorated" Frankfort homes, according to the society website.
Tickets will be available in November, and society members and previous patrons will have priority access. Ticket donation is $30.

Guests will visit five homes, and also stop by various Frankfort businesses and organizations. The Frankfort Arts Association will host an open house with light refreshments; CD&ME will offer special holiday cocktails; and the historical society museum will be selling gift items.
Downtown Frankfort shops and businesses will also be open for Christmas shopping, according to the society.

Money from the event is used for scholarships, preservation, children's projects, genealogy, museum expenses, research and Ancestry.com, according to the society.
