8 Candidates Running For 4 Open Summit Hill D161 Board Positions
John Wade, Katie Campbell, James Martin, Joy Murphy, Stefanie McCleish, Richard Ward, Amy Berk and John Lettiere will be running.
FRANKFORT, IL — Eight candidates are running for four open positions on the Summit Hill District 161 Board of Education, according to the Will County Clerk's final candidate list. Summit Hill District 161 has six schools and draws students from parts of Mokena, Frankfort and Tinley Park.
The board of education consists of seven board members who serve 4-year terms. For the April 6 election, there are four open 4-year terms. The candidates running for the four positions are: John Wade, Katie Campbell, James Martin, Joy Murphy, Stefanie McCleish, Richard Ward, Amy Berk and John Lettiere.
Martin and Murphy are incumbent board members, while Wade, Campbell, McCleish, Ward, Berk and Lettiere don't currently serve on the board.
