FRANKFORT, IL — To celebrate the Fort Frankfort playground renovation, the Frankfort Park District will hold a ribbon cutting on July 7.
The playground is already open for play. In addition to the playground improvements, the park now has two new pavilions offering shade and two public EV charging stations, the park district said.
The official ribbon cutting will be held at Commissioners Park, 22108 S. 80th Ave., from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on July 7.
The renovations were supported by a $1.7 million Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity grant secured by State Sen. Michael Hastings.
