FRANKFORT, IL – A outdoor stage caught fire at a Frankfort business on Monday morning, the Frankfort Fire Protection District said.
The fire district said it responded to The Chill House, 7905 W. Lincoln Highway, at 9:03 a.m. Monday for a reported structure fire.
Crews found an outdoor stage on fire on the west side of the property, and quickly extinguished the fire, according to a news release.
The fire was contained to the stage and a portion of the fence behind the stage, and no other structures were involved, the fire district said. No injuries were reported.
Damage was limited to the outdoor stage and adjacent fencing; no dollar loss estimate is available at this time. The cause and origin remain under investigation by the Frankfort Fire District Investigation Team, according to a news release.
"We’re sad to announce we won’t be having any outdoor bands for a while. Things were just rolling," The Chill House shared on its Facebook page. "We are so glad no one was hurt and that the Frankfort Fire Department was able to stop the fire from spreading. We are very grateful for them. We’ll continue to have bands indoors. And hopefully the rebuild will be quick."
