FRANKFORT, IL — Two businesses were burglarized in Frankfort early Monday, the Will County Sheriff's Office told Patch.
Deputies were called to Dimitri's Best Foods in the 19000 block of South Harlem Avenue for a reported burglary in progress at 2:39 a.m. Monday.
The sheriff's office said the alarm company was alerted to the break-in, and surveillance cameras showed two men, one with a ski mask and both wearing gloves.
When deputies arrived, the front glass door was shattered and a cash register was on the ground, according to the sheriff's office. The neighboring business, Pizza Pete, also had a broken front glass door, and a safe was missing.
Police said cameras showed a white BMW SUV backing into the spaces in front of the businesses. A third person appeared on camera breaking into the pizza restaurant, the sheriff's office said.
The suspects used landscaping bricks to break the glass and enter. The three people left in the white BMW, where a fourth person was waiting in the driver's seat, the sheriff's office said.
