Quarter-Sized Hail, Damage To Buildings Reported From Monday's Storms In Frankfort

Over 500 customers remain without power in the Frankfort area from Monday's severe weather.

FRANKFORT, IL — Severe weather on Monday brought power outages, downed trees and branches, and flooding to Frankfort, and the National Weather Service crews are still assessing damage across the Chicago area.

The National Weather Service has compiled local storm reports, and shared several from the Frankfort area:

No tornadoes have been confirmed in Frankfort; but the National Weather Service did confirm an EF-0 tornado which impacted western and northwest Orland Park, a tornado which hit Country Club Hills, Hazel Crest, Harvey and Homewood; and an EF-0 in Lansing.

Several thousand people were also originally without power in Frankfort after Monday's storms. As of noon on Wednesday, 337 customers remain without power in Frankfort, 261 are without power in Frankfort Square, and 113 are without power in Frankfort Township, according to the ComEd outage map.
