Man Shot During 'Altercation With A Relative,' Suspect Still At Large: Frankfort Police

The shooting happened early Monday morning in Frankfort.

FRANKFORT, IL — A 19-year-old man was shot in his home after an "altercation with a relative" early Monday, Frankfort Police said.

The suspect fled on foot and has not yet been found, police said.

Officers were called to a home on Firenze Drive at 12:30 a.m. Monday for a report of shots fired inside the home, police said.

Officers found a 19-year-old man who was shot, police said. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to police, the suspect left the home on foot, and a reverse 911 call was sent out to area residents to shelter in place.

A perimeter was established, and officers did an extensive search, police said. The suspect was not found within the perimeter and remained at large on Monday morning.

Police said this is an active investigation, and there is no further available information currently.
