Frankfort Bar Burglarized Early Thursday: Sheriff

Two gaming machines were damaged, and the cash boxes were stolen, police said.

FRANKFORT, IL — The Chill House in Frankfort was burglarized early Thursday, the Will County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies were called to the business, 7905 W. Lincoln Highway, at 5:57 a.m. Aug. 6 for a burglary in progress, the sheriff's office said.

Deputies and officers from Frankfort Police arrived and found the glass of the front door of the business smashed, but no one was inside, according to police.

Two gaming machines had been forced open, and the cash boxes were removed, police said. Frankfort Police later found both empty cash boxes near Lincoln Highway and Harlem Avenue.

The sheriff's office said that surveillance video showed two offenders, wearing all black, using sledgehammers to break in to the business. The suspects were inside for less than three minutes. There is no description of the suspect vehicle, police said.

A similar crime was reported along Lincoln Highway at ReUnion in New Lenox.
