Train Blocking Several Intersections In Frankfort: Police

FRANKFORT, IL — A train is blocking several intersections in Frankfort on Friday morning, Frankfort Police Department shared.

A CN train is stopped in Frankfort due to a mechanical failure and is blocking intersections at Harlem Avenue, Pfeiffer Road, and Sauk Trail west of Pfeiffer.

"The mechanical issue is currently being addressed by the railroad," police said. "At this time, it is unknown how long these intersections will remain blocked."

Drivers should plan accordingly and use alternate routes.
