Frankfort Village Hall, Frankfort Library Serve As Early Voting Sites For Nov. 3 Election

Early voting begins Oct. 19 at both sites.

FRANKFORT, IL — Early voting will begin Oct. 19 at the Frankfort Village Hall and Frankfort Public Library for the Nov. 3 General Election.

Voters in Frankfort will also see some referendum questions on their ballot, including one from the Frankfort Fire Protection District and one from Frankfort Township.

The fire protection district is asking voters to increase the limiting rate of the fire district. The exact question is: "Shall the limiting rate under the Property Tax Extension Limitation Law for the Frankfort Fire Protection District, Will and Cook Counties, Illinois, be increased by an additional amount equal to 0.325% above the limiting rate for levy year 2025 and be equal to 1.0481% of the equalized assessed value of the taxable property therein for levy year 2026?"

The Frankfort Township advisory question is asking voters about voter ID laws. The exact question is: "Shall the State of Illinois enact a law to require a person to present a valid government issued photo identification card or passport establishing proof of their United States citizenship before allowing that person to vote in any Illinois election?"

If you'd like to vote as early as possible, early voting starts Sept. 24 at the Will County Clerk's Office in Joliet. Then, in Frankfort, early voting begins Oct. 19 at both the Frankfort Public Library and Frankfort Village Hall.

10 a.m. to noon, Oct. 24
10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Oct. 26-29
10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Oct. 31

Frankfort Village Hall, 432 W. Nebraska St.

9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Oct. 19-23
9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Oct. 26-30

"Early Voting provides Will County voters with a convenient and flexible opportunity to cast their ballot before Election Day," Will County Clerk Annette Parker said in a news release. "I encourage all eligible voters to make a plan to vote and take advantage of the many options available throughout Will County."
