FRANKFORT, IL — The businesses in downtown Frankfort's Olde Frankfort Mall are teaming up for the second annual Styles and Strikes Fashion Show, set for Nov. 5.
The event, which aims to kick off the holiday shopping season while also giving back to the community, will be held at The Loft, Courtney Gorman, who owns Lennox Rose Boutique, told Patch.
In addition to the fashion show and shopping, there will also be a artisanal pizza buffet and drinks.
Participating downtown Frankfort businesses include Lennox Rose Boutique, Briosa Boutique, Tease Hair Co., The Loft, Bentley's Pet Stuff, Grounded Coffee, Underground – Frankfort Arts Association, The Candle Vault and Whimsy.
Gorman said the idea came about "as a way to bring together all of the businesses in Downtown Frankfort's Olde Frankfort Mall."
"We have such a fun and diverse mix of businesses all in one spot on Ash Street, from boutique shopping and a salon to a pet supply shop, coffee shop, the Frankfort Art Association and The Loft upstairs, which is such a unique space," Gorman said.
Gorman added that with the holidays approaching, the businesses thought it would be a great opportunity to raise money for the food pantry, "while creating a fun girls' night out centered around fashion, shopping and empowering women. It was such a great experience last year that we knew we wanted to bring it back!"
A portion of every ticket sold will benefit the Frankfort Food Pantry. You can buy tickets online through The Loft's website.
