Enrico's Italian Dining's Chef Frank Leads Cooking Demo at The Bridge Teen Center

On Tuesday afternoon, Chef Frank, Enrico's Italian Dining's head chef for 25 years, led a cooking demo for six teens at The Bridge Teen Center in Orland Park.

In introducing Chef Frank to the students, Enrico's owner Harry D'Ercole noted, "We're very fortunate to have a chef stay with our restaurant for 25 years. We've been in business for 36 years, and I attribute a lot of our success to Chef Frank."

Chef Frank then took over the class, encouraging students to come up and assist him with various prep tasks, like slicing peppers, dicing onions and smashing garlic for the main dish.

He also shared insider tips with them. "One of the things that saves you time is cleaning your mess up after each step," he said, wiping down the counter and putting extra ingredients away.

Students helped prepare (and eat) Grilled Italian Sausage with Yellow and Red Peppers, Cappellini, Fresh Tomatoes and Basil for their entree. Dessert was Ravioli Croccante Menzane (Crispy Apple Ravioli). This was the first cooking class Enrico's has led at The Bridge, but judging from student participation, they just might be invited back!
