Bandit Jumped Over Counter To Rob Bank In Matteson: FBI
The FBI says a man is in custody for the Friday morning robbery of First Midwest Bank on Lincoln Highway.

MATTESON, IL -- A bank robber jumped the counter at the First Midwest Bank in Matteson Friday morning and took money but was caught shortly after, according to an account from an FBI spokesman. The FBI responded to the robbery at 4600 Lincoln Highway around 11:05 a.m. and learned that an armed man wearing a black ski mask, black hooded sweatshirt, dark colored jeans and white tennis shoes made off with an unknown amount of money.
Garrett Croon, FBI Chicago media coordinator, said later that a suspect was in custody and a gun was recovered. The suspect is accused of jumping the counter, taking proceeds and running out of the bank.
