Buona Beef Planned for LaGrange Road in Frankfort

FRANKFORT, IL - Officials with Buona Beef are scheduled to appear before the Frankfort Plan Commission this week about their plans to open up a restaurant on LaGrange Road.

The lone major item on the agenda during the commission’s 6 p.m. Thursday meeting at Frankfort Village Hall is a public hearing regarding a special use permit for the restaurant chain for “accessory liquor sales to serve beer and wine.”

The Buona Beef is planned to take shape at 20950 S. LaGrange Road. The plan for them and a Potbelly restaurant to anchor a retail and office project at the location has already been approved by the village board, according to a Chicago Tribune report. A drive-thru and outdoor seating are among the plans for the Keystone Ventures venture.

Buona Beef has been around for more than 30 years and has recently expanded to several Chicagoland locations. Their nearest current location is in Orland Park.

A public comment session will be held on Thursday after the company present their plans to the board.
