Candlelight Vigil In Frankfort Tonight After Charlottesville Turmoil
The Southwest Suburban Activists group is planning a rally to denounce hate at Breidert Green Park Sunday night.

FRANKFORT, IL -- The Southwest Suburban Activists group has planned a rally at Breidert Green Park in Frankfort Sunday night to denounce hate and stand "in solidarity with Charlottesville." A Facebook event created to organize the rally indicates at least 20 people plan on attending as of 11 a.m. Sunday.
The rally, which according to organizers will include a candlelight vigil "in support of racial justice, equality and love," will begin at 8 p.m. It is in response to the deadly turmoil in Charlottesville, Virginia on Saturday that resulted from a rally of white nationalists and included a car that crashed into a group of counter-protesters, killing one.
"We will show our respect for those affected by white supremacist terror, demand that our elected officials condemn the racist views espoused by Unite the Right participants, and publicly commit ourselves to fighting against racism and white supremacy," the event page states.
