Third graders portray famous characters

Chelsea Intermediate School third grade students from Team B and Team C recently participated in a Biography Wax Museum. Prior to Winter Break, the classes worked on a biography unit of study. Students read a biography about a famous character and took the information they learned to create a speech about the person they researched.

During the Biography Wax Museum, students dressed and used a prop to portray the person they studied and presented a two minute speech to parents as their famous character.

Some of the characters portrayed by the students included Clara Barton, Helen Keller, Albert Einstein, Roald Dahl, Dr. Seuss, Elvis Presley, Queen Elizabeth, Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Christopher Columbus, Neil Armstrong, Pablo Picasso, Rosa Parks, Laura Ingalls Wilder, Anne Frank, JK Rowling, Amelia Earhart, Sacagawea, Muhammad Ali, Martin Luther King, Abigail Adams, Babe Ruth, Jim Henson, King Tut, Alexander Graham Bell, Steve Jobs and Ulysses S. Grant.
