Simpkins will stay with District 157-C until July 1.

Chelsea Intermediate School Principal Kristin Simpkins has accepted the position of Principal of Oak Lawn-Hometown Middle School in District 123 effective July 1, 2015. The District 157-C Board of Education will likely accept her resignation at its regular April 20 Board meeting. Mrs. Simpkins will continue in her role at Chelsea through the end of this school year.

“I want to wish Mrs. Simpkins the very best and thank her for her many years of service and the positive impact she has had on our students,” said District 157-C Superintendent Dr. Maura Zinni.

Simpkins has served as Principal of Chelsea Intermediate School since 2006. She also served as Assistant Principal at Hickory Creek Middle School from 2002 to 2006 until it relocated to its new building at 22150 W. 116th Avenue and the former building became Chelsea.
