Come learn about your schools!

Excellent things are happening in Frankfort School District 157-C! All community members are invited to hear a “State of the District” presentation by Superintendent Dr. Maura Zinni and her Cabinet on Tuesday, February 2, at 9:30 a.m. in the Tiger’s Den at Grand Prairie Elementary School, 10480 W. Nebraska Street.
The presentation measures the District’s progress towards accomplishment of the goals of the Strategic Plan in the areas of Growth, Student Outcomes, Technology, Professional Development and Financial Stability. It also outlines a new Continuous Improvement Plan being developed by the Board of Education and the District Administration. The new plan will align to the five goals of the previous Strategic Plan, take into account the feedback from students, staff and parents, and provide a vision and action plan that promotes District 157-C as an exemplary 21st Century learning community whose students are prepared to excel in college and career pathways.
At the January 20 Board of Education meeting, Dr. Zinni previewed the presentation with the Board members in preparation for the February 2 presentation for the community. Dr. Zinni stated, “We invite the community to hear how District 157-C is continuing on the path of positive improvement and encourage people to stop by on February 2 to learn more.”
