Construction On The Wine Thief Begins In Frankfort
The business said customers can enjoy boutique wines, a seasonally changing menu and gourmet desserts.
FRANKFORT, IL — Construction has started at The Wine Thief in Frankfort. The business was originally approved by the village in August and permits can now be seen in the windows of the business.
The Wine Thief, 6 Elwood St., will be a full-service restaurant with wine available by the bottle, glass and at self-service wine stations. There will also be draft beer served, as well as carry-out wine sales.
The business shared on its Facebook that it has signed with Vernon Development and Construction. The Wine Thief also used design plans from Sheri Law Art Glass, Ltd.

"The creative team of Sheri Law and Barry Wachtel have helped us design a dining environment that is inspired by the power of art, stone, glass and texture," the business said on Facebook. "Beauty, taste, and community will come together for a truly unique experience in the historic downtown of Frankfort."
The business said customers can enjoy boutique wines, a seasonally changing menu and gourmet desserts. An opening date for the restaurant was not given.
