Cop On A Rooftop In Frankfort Supports Special Olympics Illinois

Frankfort officers will be at the Dunkin at 20551 S. La Grange Road, from 5 to 10:30 a.m. on May 19 to raise awareness.

FRANKFORT, IL — Raising awareness for Special Olympics Illinois, the Frankfort Police Department will participate in the Cop on a Rooftop event on May 19.

Officers across the state collect money to benefit Special Olympics Illinois at participating Dunkin' locations. Frankfort officers will be at the Dunkin at 20551 S. La Grange Road, from 5 to 10:30 a.m. to collect donations.

100 percent of the donations and proceeds go to Special Olympics athletes of Illinois, the department said.

2023 marks the 20th anniversary of the partnership between Dunkin' and Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Illinois. More than $7.6 million has been raised in Illinois, according to the Special Olympics website.

The department said that T-shirts are available for a $20 donation, hats for a $15 donation and mugs for a $10 donation. Every donation will receive a free Dunkin' coupon.
