D161 Approves Rogus Roof Recoating, Accepts Three Retirements

The board also honored Wall of Gratitude honorees and IESA cross country state participants.

FRANKFORT, IL — Summit Hill District 161 recently shared board briefs from its Nov. 20 regular board meeting. The board first recognized Kara Waishwell, Makayla Kelly and Mia Hedrick for participating in the IESA cross country state competition.

According to board briefs, the board also recognized the Wall of Gratitude honorees. The wall was a way to thank a district staff member, and several staff members at different schools in the district were honored.

The board also accepted the retirement letters of Cheryl Michals, Debra Hanky and Cynthia Flowers for the end of the 2022-23 school year, board briefs state.

Lastly, the board approved a contract with Malcor Roofing for the recoating of Rogus School's roof.
