Dancing Marlin restaurant celebrates Frankfort’s German heritage with traditional Oktoberfest fare and drink specials from September 30 to October 5. Founded in 1855 by German pioneers, the town is named after an early settler’s hometown of Frankfurt, Germany. Today, Dancing Marlin embraces the area’s German roots with dinner specials including:
House sauerkraut $4; hand-cranked, beer braised bratwurst (2) to an order $8; German style potato salad $4; potato pancakes: crème fraiche, apple mostarda (4) to an order $6; Bavarian pretzels: sweet mustard and cheese dipping sauce (4) to an order $7; beer and cheese soup shooters $2 each; pork schnitzel sliders (2) to an order $8, and a strudel dessert $7.
Oktoberfest drink specials include a German chocolate martini, coconut rum, white crème de cacao, Frangelico, and whipped cream $9; and the Oktoberfest cocktail with honey whiskey, bitters, ginger beer and an original German beer, Hofbräu München $9.
