Demolition Will Begin At Former Borg Warner Plant

"The area is zoned for residential and the purchaser has indicated he plans to build homes," the Village shared.

FRANKFORT, IL — Frankfort residents will see some activity at the former Borg Warner plant, at 300 Maple St.

A demolition permit has been issued to raze the building, the Village of Frankfort shared on its Facebook. Fencing has also gone up around the site.

"The process will take a few months and will start with the removal of the parking area, interior structures, and roof demolition and the final phase will be the dismantling of the outside walls," the Village said.
