District 157-C Board honors the memory of Rosemary Georgen

Mrs. Georgen provided more than 20 years of dedicated service to the district

At the regular Frankfort School District 157-C Board of Education meeting on March 16, the Board dedicated a plaque honoring the memory of former Board Recording Secretary Rosemary Georgen for more than 20 years of dedicated service to District 157-C. Mrs. Georgen passed away on February 20 after battling cancer.

Superintendent Dr. Maura J. Zinni stated, “What an amazing person! She was a breath of fresh air, our historian, and always had a great thing to say about everyone.” Board Vice President Patrick Usher read a letter from Mrs. Georgen’s son which said that his mother felt that those on the District 157-C Board were like a family to her and that she was glad she could help contribute to the excellence of the District.

The Board dedicated a plaque in Mrs. Georgen’s honor that will hang on a wall in the Board Room. Below a photograph of her on the plaque it reads “We will miss our dear friend Rosemary Georgen whose dedication and commitment to Frankfort School District 157-C for over 20 years was unsurpassed. The impact you made here will be felt for many generations.”
