District 157-C highlights children’s zones of emotional regulation in program for parents

Learn to teach kids awareness of their emotions and reaction sizes with effective strategies that can be used at home and school

As part of Tiger University sponsored by District 157-C and the Family School Partnership (FSP) the community is invited to their next program. It will be held on Thursday, February 9, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Hickory Creek Middle School, 22150 W. 116th Avenue in Frankfort.

The program “Chillax” is an informational workshop that will review Zones of Emotional Regulation by Leah Kuypers, OT. The innovative curriculum is designed to teach kids awareness of their emotions and reaction sizes, as well as effective and realistic tools and strategies that can be used at home, in school, and in the community to help them stay in "green." This workshop will review the curriculum and you will leave with a few new tools in your toolbox to use right away.

Tiger University’s purpose is to provide District 157-C parents and guardians with information on a variety of topics. The program is coordinated by District 157-C Director of Special Services Jennifer Bajda. Programs are free but those planning to attend are asked to pre-register at www.SignUpGenius.com/go/409044AA9AB22A57-chillax1.
