At the regular Frankfort School District 157-C Board of Education meeting held on August 12, the Board accepted the resignation of Board member Cari Ann Mills.
In accordance with Board of Education Policy 2:70, the Board has notified Regional Superintendent of Schools, Shawn Walsh, of the vacancy and begun the process to appoint a new member for this seat on the Board for the remainder of Mrs. Mills’ unexpired term until spring 2017.
Any community member wishing to be considered for the Board vacancy should submit his/her résumé for consideration by August 20, 2015. Persons wishing to become members of the Board of Education must reside within District 157-C.

The Board will hold a Special Meeting to discuss the Board vacancy on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at 8:00 p.m. at Chelsea Intermediate School, 22265 S. 80th Avenue. After reviewing the résumés, the Board may invite the prospective candidates for personal interviews to be conducted during duly scheduled closed meetings.
