FRANKFORT – Over 230 Frankfort 157-C teachers and staff received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, the district said in a release. This was a collective effort between Frankfort 157-C, the Will County Health Department, and Silver Cross Hospital.

The district said the Will County Health Department set aside Tuesday to ensure educators
across Will County could get vaccinated. All districts in Will County have worked together
with the county health department to arrange this vaccination process.

“This is truly a great day knowing that those who work closest to your children will now
have an added safeguard against the virus,” Superintendent Dr. Maura Zinni said in a release.
