A longtime Frankfort favorite will soon reopen its doors, as announced on Facebook Friday.
“Are you hungry for some good news?” staff wrote on the restaurant’s Facebook page. ”Well here it is! Enrico’s is back in business! We’ve leased a space and will be sharing pictures and more details in the coming days.”
We know that “Chef Frank and Delilah will be returning to the Enrico’s kitchen to bring you some of your favorites like baked mostaciolli and lasagna and banana cream pie!” And as of Monday, we know a location—the former home of the Wild Rover, 20535 South La Grange Rd. in the Vineyards of Frankfort shopping center.

The beloved and historic restaurant closed its location at 21027 S. LaGrange Road in August 2012. The owners, Bob and Harry D’Ercole, had promised at the time that the restaurant would reopen. Several years later and months following the death of co-founder Harry D’Ercole, Sr., that wish is about to be granted.
“Can you open in the next week?” one fan wrote on the page. “I used to come every year for my birthday, and that’s next Sunday. :) “
