‘Equality March’ Planned in Frankfort
A local version of the "Equality March for Unity and Pride" is planned for June 11 at Breidert Green Park.

FRANKFORT, IL -- A local version of of the global “Equality March for Unity and Pride” movement on June 11 will take place in Frankfort’s Breidert Green Park.
“We are thrilled to represent the state of Illinois in this endeavor,” organizers wrote on a Facebook event page.
The “Equality March for Unity and Pride” is focused on LGBTQ+ issues. It’s described on the Facebook event page as “a grassroots movement which will mobilize the diverse LGBTQ+ communities to peacefully and clearly address concerns about the current political landscapes and how it is contributing to the persecution and discrimination of LGBTQ+ individuals.”

The rally will begin at 2 p.m. at Breidert Green and last for about an hour-and-a-half before a march begins at 3:30 p.m.
