The Frankfort Arts Association has announced the opening of their Art Gallery in Downtown Frankfort, located at 21 S Ash Street, Suite 7. The purpose of the space will fulfill the group’s mission to house gallery exhibits and a classroom for art classes, workshops, and lectures. “Since our lease began on October 1, our members and their family members have been working hard to make the space our own. We are so grateful for our community’s generosity and support,” stated FAA President, Lisa Podlesak.

“Dreams Come True,” FAAs first exhibit, will run from Sunday, November 17th through Sunday, December 21st. A reception is planned on opening day, from 1pm-3pm. Gallery Curator and FAA Vice President, Kristin Murphy added, “Our first gallery exhibit showcases artwork from FAA members who helped shape our mission from the beginning.”

Artists are invited to submit one work, in any subject, style and technique, realist to abstract. Works may include figures, landscapes, architecture, animals, design, observations, inventions, transformations, and symbols. Submitted works can be in any medium, 2D or 3D, except for video.

Frankfort Arts Association is dedicated to enhancing the community through creation, education, promotion, and appreciation of the arts. Artists need a space to dream, to create, to inspire and be inspired. The FAA works to provide a creative place within our community where we can easily gather together for enrichment, exploration, and inspiration. Through fundraising efforts, their goals are as follows:
• Physical space for FAA member activity
• Collaborate with Village of Frankfort
• Gallery exhibits
• Continued classroom for art classes, workshops, and lectures
• Shared spaces for artists to rent
• Collaborate with local businesses to promote the Arts through sponsored events and Pop Up Galleries.
