Family Campfire, Campout Planned In Frankfort
Attendees will roast marshmallows, drink hot chocolate, play games, enjoy a hayride and listen to ghost stories.
FRANKFORT, IL — Enjoy a fall evening at Commissioners Park at the Frankfort Park District's family fall campfire and overnight campout. The park district will hold the event on Sept. 18; the campfire will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m., and the campout will run through 9 a.m. Sept. 19.
According to the park district Facebook, pre-registration is required, and the campfire event alone is free, but the campout is $39 per campsite.
There is a 50-person maximum for the campfire. Attendees will roast marshmallows, drink hot chocolate, play games, enjoy a hayride and listen to ghost stories.

If you stay for the campout, you'll watch an outdoor movie with popcorn and enjoy a continental breakfast in the morning, according to the park district. You must register for the event by Sept. 15.
