Fifteen Lincoln-Way East Student Athletes Participate In Signing Day

FRANKFORT, IL — Lincoln-Way East student-athletes participated in a fall college signing day at the school, as they celebrated their official commitment to play their respective sport at the college level.

"This is a talented group of student-athletes who have excelled at Lincoln-Way East both in their sport and in the classroom. They have worked hard to earn their opportunities to keep playing their sport at the college level. We are very proud of this group," Mark Vander Kooi, LWE athletic director, said in a release.

The 15 students who participated in fall signing day are:

• Sydney Nienhouse, Softball, North Central College
• Hayven Smith, Basketball, University of Illinois
• Brett Stevens, Baseball, Panola College
• Averi Vander Woude, Softball, University of Loyola Chicago
