Former LW 210 School Board Member Dies

Christopher McFadden was found unresponsive at his Frankfort home on Thursday.

FRANKFORT, IL — A former Frankfort 157-C and Lincoln-Way High School District 210 school board member died suddenly earlier this week. Christopher McFadden, 41 was found unresponsive in his Frankfort home Thursday morning, according to a report from The Herald-News. McFadden was one of the LW 210 board members who made the controversial decision to close Lincoln-Way North High School before he abruptly resigned in January of 2016.

McFadden was the president of the 157-C board from 2013 to 2015 but had just a nine-month run on the LW 210 board. He grew up in Shorewood and attended Joliet West High School before receiving degrees from Harvard University and Northwestern University School of Law.

McFadden was also a Chicago-based attorney who spent time as a prosecutor for the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

An autopsy has been performed but the cause and manner of death have not been announced.
