"Construction of a well and water treatment plant at this location will reduce the burden on existing wells, increase pumping capacity to accommodate future growth and provide balance within the distribution system," Trustee Maura Rigoni said.

According to Board documents, there is currently a 1 million-gallon water tower at Elsner Road, just west of La Grange Road. It is the only tower site in Frankfort's utility system that doesn't have an associated well, board documents state.
