FRANKFORT, IL — At its meeting on Monday, the Frankfort Village Board approved amendments to its traffic code ordinance, which will add a few stop signs and other traffic signage in certain areas in town.

First, the traffic advisory committee for the Village recommended stop signs at the intersection of 84th and North avenues. According to Village documents, the Village shares the intersection with Frankfort Township.

The Village will post a stop sign at 84th Avenue (southbound at North Avenue) and a stop sign at North Avenue (eastbound at 84th Avenue). The Township will post the stop sign on westbound North Avenue, board documents state.

The Board also approved "no parking" signs at the Ash Street hammerhead, because vehicles were parking in the dead-end of the street.

Signage stating "no parking 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on school days" was also approved for Ohio Road, from North Locust Street to Willow Street and on Iron Gate Court.
