Frankfort Area Coronavirus Cases Increased By 19 Over Past Week

FRANKFORT, IL — The number of coronavirus cases in the Frankfort area has increased by 19 cases over the past week, according to data from the Will County Health Department. Frankfort (ZIP code 60423) has 212 cases as of July 15, compared to 193 cases on July 8, which represents a 9.8 percent increase.

Health authorities do not provide the number of deaths or recoveries by municipality.

Here is the growth in the coronavirus case numbers for the past six weeks in Frankfort. The data comes from the Will County Health Department and the number of cases reported in ZIP code 60423.

IDPH is also reporting a total of 3,292 tests have been performed for ZIP code 60423.

In nearby towns in the Lincoln-Way area, both Mokena (ZIP code 60448) and New Lenox (ZIP code 60451) have fewer cases, with 186 and 185 cases, respectively, as of July 15. Manhattan (ZIP code 60442) has 57 cases, according to data from the county health department.

As of Wednesday, Illinois' coronavirus case count was 156,693 and the coronavirus has claimed the lives of 7,226 Illinois residents. In Will County, there have been 7,449 cases of the coronavirus and 328 related deaths.
