Frankfort Bluegrass Festival Holds Fundraiser
In 2018, the Frankfort Bluegrass Festival won the 2018 International Bluegrass Music Association's "Event of the Year" Award.
FRANKFORT, IL — The Frankfort Bluegrass Festival will have a fundraiser on Friday, May 10 at CD & Me in Frankfort. The event will run from 6 to 10 p.m. at CD & Me and Frankfort Spirits at 23320 S. La Grange Road. According to a release, advance tickets are $40 and include music, buffet and three drink tickets.
The event will also feature live music acts including, The Grateful String Band, Miles Over Mountains and River Valley Rangers. There will be raffles and split the pot opportunities, and the proceeds will benefit the free, not-for-profit Bluegrass Festival on July 13-14.
In 2018, the Frankfort Bluegrass Festival won the 2018 International Bluegrass Music Association’s “Event of the Year” Award, according to a release. This year's event will be held Saturday, July 13 and Sunday, July 14 in downtown Frankfort.

“CD & Me and our supporters allow us to keep our pledge to bring free, top quality, award-winning bluegrass acts to Frankfort every summer to showcase this truly American music,” said Amanda Thompson, a fest coordinator. “We’ve raised the stakes for ourselves as the International Event Winner for 2018 and we were only able to shoot for such heights because of the support we get right here at home, north toward Beverly and the city, and south toward Kankakee way.”
