Frankfort Cops Will Have Radar Set Up Wednesday

FRANKFORT, IL -- Frankfort police will have radar details set up on Wednesday for Illinois' Speed Awareness Day.

"We took into account all of the information we received through phone calls and Facebook posts and made note of those areas for future radar details," the Frankfort Police Department wrote on Facebook on Tuesday. "Officers will be in these locations in this general time frames."

Police officers may need to leave these spots during the day to respond to emergencies.

Frankfort police currently plan to have radar details at the following locations and times on Wednesday:

9-10 a.m.: Locust Street at Michigan Street
10-11 a.m.: Windy Hill Drive at Breton Drive
1-2 p.m.: Yankee Ridge Drive at Williamsburg Trail
4:30-5:30 p.m.: Sandalwood Drive at Clove Drive
6:30-7:30 p.m.: Georgetown Road at Yorktown Road
7:30-8:30 p.m.: Nebraska Street at Maple Street
