Frankfort Country Market to Open this Month

A Frankfort favorite will return soon, with the opening of this year’s Country Market—and it’s going to be a big one.

Nearly 60 vendors are lined up for the market, set to kick off its season Sunday, April 26 at 10 a.m. The market continues every Sunday until October 25 in downtown Frankfort. The spring market (from April 26 through May 31) features early crops and plantings; the hours for the spring market are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The summer market (from June 7 through August 30) features a variety of seasonal produce, freshly produced foods, seminars, chef demos and activities for the entire family; the hours for the summer market are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., providing an extra hour of shopping. Market hours in the fall (from September 13 through October 25) will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The market will expand its free entertainment on the Village Green stage with weekly live entertainment beginning April 26 and continuing through September 27. Special events will again be featured in 2015, with family-friendly activities.

To date, 58 vendors have been confirmed for the 2015 Frankfort Country Market; including several new vendors. A complete roster of vendors will be available soon on the Village website as well as at the market.

We are very excited about the continued expansion of the market, new vendors, and additional activities for 2015, and look forward to a very successful market season,” commented Mayor Jim Holland.

The Frankfort Country Market Committee is a Village of Frankfort sponsored committee of residents who are appointed for one year terms by the mayor.
