Frankfort Couple Collects 300+ Gifts for Toys for Tots

Michael and Karin Davis of Frankfort hosted 150 guests and collected over 300 gifts for Will County Toys for Tots

Christmas will come early and be a little cheerful for some Will County children, thanks to the Davis family of Frankfort, IL. Michael and Karin Davis asked their friends to bring unwrapped toys to donate at their Annual Christmas House party on Saturday, Dec 3. Their expectations were exceeded when two pickup trucks full of toys left the Davis driveway at the end of the night.

Marines SSGT Justin Brown and Ed Siddall of the Will County Toys for Tots were in attendance the entire event and were overwhelmed with the two trucksload of toys that were donated by the Frankfort couple's friend, families, and neighbors. It is estimated over 150 guests were in attendance and over 300 toys were donated.

The couple got the idea to ask Toys for Tots to jump into the mix after another different fundraiser the Davises hosted earlier in the years was an enormous success for PAWS of Tinley Park. Karin Davis asked attendees to her 50th birthday dinner party at Chef Klaus' Restaurant in Frankfort to bring a pet toys, pet food, or other supplies to support Tinley Park's PAWS animal shelter. An estimated 200 items were collected and donated to the shelter.
