FRANKFORT, IL — At its Feb. 17 meeting, the Frankfort District 157-C Board of Education approved the calendar for the 2026-27 school year.

• Aug. 20, first day of school for grades K-8
• Aug. 21, first day of school for pre-K
• Sept. 4, early dismissal
• Sept. 7, no school
• Oct. 9, teacher institute, no school
• Oct. 12, no school
• Oct. 30, early dismissal
• Nov. 3, no school
• Nov. 20, early dismissal
• Nov. 23-24, parent-teacher conferences, no school
• Nov. 25, no school
• Nov. 26, no school
• Nov. 27, no school
• Dec. 21-Jan. 1, 2027, winter break, no school
• Jan. 4, 2027, teacher institute, no school
