Frankfort Fall Festival 2023: What Visitors Should Know Before You Go

The annual event, sponsored by the Frankfort Chamber of Commerce, features a carnival, live entertainment, food vendors, artisans and more.

FRANKFORT, IL — The 55th annual Frankfort Fall Festival returns to downtown Frankfort this weekend, Sept. 2-4.

The annual event, sponsored by the Frankfort Chamber of Commerce, features a carnival, live entertainment, food vendors, artisans, a parade and more. According to the Frankfort Chamber of Commerce, the event features over 300 artisans, and over 250,000 visitors. Admission is free.

This year's parade steps off at 1 p.m. on Sept. 3. The theme is "The Fall Fest Family." The fall festival grand marshals are Al and Cindy Heath.

Visitors should be aware of the new youth supervision policy for the carnival at this year's fest.

The carnival runs from Aug. 30-Sept. 4, and the policy is in effect from 5 p.m. to the close of the carnival each day.

Anyone who is 18 or older can enter the carnival. Anyone under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult who is 21 or older. Each adult over the age of 21 may supervise a total of four attendees under the age of 18, police said. Individuals under 18 years of age without an adult will not be admitted to the carnival and will be directed to a reunification area where their parent or guardian can pick them up.

Carnival

  • Open from 5 to 9 p.m. on Aug. 30
  • Open from 5 to 9 p.m. on Aug. 31
  • 3 to 5 p.m. on Sept. 1, Special Needs Day
  • Open from 5 to 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 1
  • Open from noon to 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 2
  • Open from noon to 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 3
  • Open from noon to 5 p.m. on Sept. 4

Breidert Green Entertainment

The family-friendly stage on Breidert Green will feature entertainment on Sept. 2-4.

Sept. 2

  • 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., The Muddsharks
  • 2 to 3:30 p.m., Dad Strength
  • 3:45 p.m., Enrico's Spaghetti Eating Contest Championship
  • 4:30 to 6 p.m., Bad Mojo Band

Sept. 3

  • 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., One Foot In
  • 2 to 3:30 p.m., Grace & John
  • 4:30 to 6 p.m., 4Cast

Sept. 4

  • 10 a.m. to noon, Spotlight Arts Collective
  • 1 to 3 p.m., Whiskeyfist

The Garden Entertainment

The stage on North Oak Street is for those 21 and older for entertainment in the evening. Daytime entertainment is for all ages.

Sept. 1

  • 8 to 11 p.m., Gone to Paradise. 21 and older only, $10 admission

Sept. 2

  • 2 to 5 p.m., The Macy Brothers
  • 8 to 11 p.m., Simply Elton. 21 and older only, $10 admission

Sept. 3

  • 2 to 5 p.m., Related Rhapsody
  • 8 to 11 p.m., One of These Nights. 21 and older only, $10 admission

Sept. 4

  • 1 to 3 p.m., Frankfort Brass Band

Craft Show

The craft show will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept 2 and Sept. 3, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 4.
